Wrecking your brain over what to get someone for Christmas? Have you resorted to googling “The best Christmas gifts for …” ?
Purchasing a Christmas gift is easy but selecting one the receiver will appreciate is challenging. Here are some ideas that will help you find the perfect Christmas gift for that special someone. Trust us, it will make all the difference between a strained smile versus a genuine Whoop.
First of all, select a gift that is practical instead of expensive. Givers tend to purchase gifts with the intention to impress and WOW the receivers instead of focusing on whether it brings long term joy and usability (eg, a dozen roses versus a potted plant).
We also tend to select gifts that we personally like; which isn’t wrong — it’s the thoughts that matter after all! However, if we take into consideration their hobbies and personalities, we might be able to narrow down our choices and surprise them with something that will provide enjoyment over time and not just in the moment.
Some categories that you may want to consider:
Hobbies: sports, movies, reading, gaming, cooking, etc.
Favorites: food, wine, coffee, dessert, etc.
Ambition: business, IT, science, art, etc.
Solutions: health, accessibility, etc.
Experience: travelling, dining, win in a competition, etc.
If the Christmas gift is for an acquaintance whom you are not familiar with, you might want to purchase a gift that fit into their specific demographic.
Finally, if your loved one has specifically requested for something (within your means, of course), then think no further and GIFT IT.
